Salvation in Christ

Cross of Christ

God is love and love is the supreme healing force. Jesus lived as love personified, dwelling here among us as the embodiment of the fullness of God. Jesus is God’s love letter to us, Jesus is God seeking us. He has been in constant pursuit of intimacy with us since time began.

His pursuit of us went all the way, to the point of coming to dwell among us here in our human experience, to face the struggles we face, to the point of a wretched death on a cross.

And for what purpose? Because God, who sees and knows all things, God who sees into the heart of every person, knew how much we needed a Savior. Throughout all time, God has been the same and so have we: unless we are saved by His grace, we are prone to wander from love. We wound one another; we struggle to forgive; we sell our soul to gain the fleeting things of this world; we become slaves to addiction; and we seek comfort in things that cannot truly help or save us.

God knows this. He still knows better than we do how much we need closeness with Him, which is why He is forever pursuing us. He sent his Son to die for us – a death he didn’t deserve – so that there would be nothing between us and Him. Our limitations and faults covered in forgiveness and grace and the veil torn so that, in Jesus, there is no longer anything separating us from access to the Great I Am.

Salvation is the ultimate healing.

The Love of a Savior

Jesus died a death he didn’t deserve in order to give us a grace we don’t deserve. He gave it all for you and when you give your life to him, you’re asking for his Spirit to rule in your life. Jesus is love, forgiveness, mercy, grace, redemption, deliverance, healing, peace, truth, wisdom, protection, and so much more. All of these blessings will rule in your heart and life when you give your life to Jesus and live in his promises.

There is no higher name than the name of Jesus. His name is a strong fortress. When that name is yours to call your own, you can run to it whenever you need and find safety. That name makes darkness flee. It is an intelligent, redemptive, overcoming, delivering name.

When Jesus went to the cross for us, he nailed all of our limitations and sicknesses to that cross with him. In him is all healing. He rose on the third day, just as he said he would, and he ascended and yet intercedes for those who belong to him, helping us and covering us by his Spirit. He helps us do what we cannot do for ourselves. He lives forever.

By salvation, you receive that Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ to dwell in you. You will then become the very dwelling place of God. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, a Comforter like no other, a counselor, a guide and teacher.

The Greatest Gift

There is a river of grace waiting for you. It’s the greatest gift you could ever receive. If you have not yet given your life to Jesus Christ, I invite you to offer your life to him and believe in him in your heart today.

Give God your prayer of faith – and if you need help, here are some words to help you as you pray, speaking aloud:

Jesus, you are Lord.
Thank you for all you gave for me, your very blood on the cross.
I believe that you died to save me and that God raised you from the dead.
Please forgive me of my sins.
Come into my life and make your home in my heart.
I surrender my life to you and darkness has no more power over me;
I now live as a new creation.
Thank you God!
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

The Path Ahead || Your Walk With Christ

I praise God for your salvation, in the mighty name of Jesus!

As you journey forward on your walk with Christ, remember to stay close to the Word of God, the Bible – explore the scriptures and seek out teaching to help you learn and understand the deeper mysteries it contains. Keep surrendering your life to Jesus as his Spirit shapes and grows you according to the will of God for your life.

Also, seek out Christian community for relationship with other believers. Look for community that emphasizes prayer and teaching of the Word, and where you feel held in safe space.

Prayer is the foundation. “Pray without ceasing,” the Bible tells us in 1 Thessalonians 5:17. Prayer is your place of intimacy with God. Let it be your constant and primary resource. The Holy Spirit will help you. Everything is possible for you in that place where the river of God flows.
